Data2Logistics, a leading provider of transportation, cost management and freight payment services, today announced the appointment of Gerry Burns as President and Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Burns is a longtime executive with Platinum Equity, the investment firm that owns Data2Logistics. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer of another Platinum Equity company, USRobotics.

Prior to that, he was a vice president of technology for Platinum Equity, where his roles included operational and technology diligence and transition for Platinum acquisitions in North America and overseas.
